Join us for a fascinating discussion with Dr E. Michael Jones, author of the must-read book 'The Jewish Revolutionary Spirit and its Impact on World History' and publisher/editor of the magazine Culture Wars discussing the theme of his book and how it is being played out in the world today in the political, cultural, social and religious realms. Good program - lots of good info, especially on the religious side. I do differ, however, with Dr. Jones on one statement he made. He said that in the 1870s, Zionism arose as Jewish racial consciousness because the Jews looked around and saw all these other nations going in that direction. In my opinion, that is trying to put the cart before the horse. The Jews have had that superiority and exclusivity complex since before the days of Christ. It grew as they grew, in population and in influence over non-Jews. With the emerging Industrial Revolution and national trade and banking, the far-thinking Jews realized there was a gold mine to be exploited - but, that they would run the danger of gaining the enmity of their victims and suffer the reactions they’d experienced many times in the past. Thus the men like Herzl, who figured out that criminal Jews would need a nation of their own to run to for shelter from prosecution of their crimes against their host country! If anything - I think nationalism and race-consciousness on the part of non-Jews arose as a defensive and protective barrier against Jewish exclusivity. Ray Goodwin

A correction for Mr. Jones. It was not Pope Leo XIII that Theodor Herzl met with, but rather with Pope St. Pius X (on January 25, 1904).

Mark, the assertion contained in your question of “How is it possible that Pius X did not see the inherent danger that was associated with — a something like this meaning allowing the Jews to return to the land from which their ancestors were driven two thousand — almost two thousand years earlier by the grace of God?” is highly speculative. Pope St. Pius X may very well have known the danger of their returning. He considered things to be so bad in his day that he thought the anti-Christ might very well be already present on earth.

I’m convinced this whole dooms day teaching was a plot of the Jews to further their goals of world domination. There are many Preterist Christians that have come to this conclusion also.

    Hello Dr. E. Michael Jones.

Happy, healthy, and spiritually profitable New Year to you and yours!

I have listened to your interview with Mark Glenn. In certain areas I am happy to say that you espouse orthodox thinking. I was however dismayed to hear one comment you made, when you said that, even though Nostra Aetate nullifies the Gospel by stating that judiacs are still in covenant with God and thus implying that they can be saved without Christ, you affirm, dear Dr. Jones, that Nostra Aetate cannot be repudiated because it was promulgated by a so-called “Ecumenical Council”, and therefore is infallible. Instead, you propose that the organizations and structures erected on the basis of Nostra Aetate can be removed and/or corrected (hoping that the Vatican will take more unilateral actions vis-a-vis the judaics and relinquish bilateral dialogue, which I do not believe will happen). This line of thinking is completely heterodox and cacodox. In the history of the Church we know of many “robber councils” which de jure appeared “ecumenical” in legalistic terms, but which promulgated errors and heresies, and which were rightly overturned by later truly Ecumenical Councils. The most famous example is the robber council of 429 AD set up by the heretic Nestorius, which was overturned by the Third Ecumenical Council in Ephesus, 431 AD, under the leadership of St. Cyril of Alexandria.

In Him Who fixed the heavens and holds all of creation in His hand,

and Who chose to lie in a manger of dumb beasts for our sake,

Christ, the God of the Old Testament and the New,

Who fed the people manna in the wilderness,

And Who milk feeds from the Holy Theotokos Mariam,

With love in Yehoshua ha Moshiach, Who united his pre-eternal divinity to our fallen humanity in His Person.

    Dear Dr. Jones,

Thank you for your response. While affirming that “the Church is the new people of God”, Nostra Aetate still refers, directly or indirectly, to the judaics as the “Chosen People”, which is sort of a double talk. On the other hand, Nostra Aetate does not clearly and unequivocally confess that judaics must be baptized in order to reconcile with God and be saved. That is the heart and essence of the Gospel. In my opinion, the Second Vatican Council erred very gravely in this respect, which resulted in the righteous indignation and justifiable schism initated by bishop Marcel Lefebvre and his more traditional catholic followers. Please correct me if I am wrong.

    Dear JT,

Thanks for your thoughts on my interview with Mark Glenn. I suggest that you read Nostra Aetate again. It does not nullify the Gospel. In fact it reaffirms that Christ is “the way, the truth and the life.” It does not affirm that Jews are still in covenant with God. In fact, it affirms, to the contrary, that “the Church is the new people of God.” That’s why I made the claim that I did. The problem is the corrupting dialogue which was erected on Nostra Aetate. If you read Jewish commentators, you’ll realize that they invariably distort this document for their own ends.

    All the best,

    E. Michael Jones

    Very informative show.

I would just like to raise an issue though with Jones, who solicited Israel Shamir to publish a book review of Michael Hoffman’s book, Judaism Discovered. Shamir’s review was a dishonest hachet job perhaps written out of professional jealosy or perhaps for other motives, who knows. I used to have a great deal of respect for Shamir’s work but he is often too polemical and too sloppy with the facts. At any rate, Hoffman wrote a lengthy rebuttal to Shamir but that rebuttal was not allowed to be published by Culture Wars. Why not?

What kind of dishonest publication is Culture Wars? I am reading Judaism Discovered and find it to be an invaluable education on many levels. Hoffman is a good writer and entertaining even though he dealt with what at times is a very dry topic.

Sorry, I will not be buying Jones’s book until he comes clean about this sleazy affair.

I am also surprised that noone at RBN or Mark has interviewed Hoffman, I can’t really understand why given that we are all fighting the same fight.

    God Bless!

Mark explained some of the background of this situation. While it is still too bad shamir wrote that poor review, I will give Dr. Jones another try and order his book, still disappointed he did not let hoffman submit his rebuttal. Everyone also needs to buy mark’s new books as well!

The rebuttal was 3 and half (!) times longer than the review. Jones first of all asked for a response, then said that, due to length, he would have to edit it down. He asked Hoffmann to edit it. Hoffman, for whatever reason, refused. Subsequently Jones published a letter which included an email address for anyone to write to in order to get hold of Hoffman’s response. That Hoffman’s supporters keep smearing Jones on this is disgraceful. Shamir also responded to Hoffman, rebutting a number of charges made by Hoffman.

I believe that Dr Jones is a modern day prophet. He is not afraid to tell the truth no matter what the temporal consequences are. He is my hero, my teacher, and one of the greatest lights in the Church and in our world today. If he were not doing the work he has so courageously undertaken for the past 20 or so years, both the Church and the world would be in a lot bigger mess than it is now. God bless you Dr Jones!
